Puppy classes

A puppy class is an absolute must for everyone who is going to start with such a small Dalmatian rascal.
For the beginners among us who are dealing with the upbringing of a Dalmatian puppy for the first time, it is the best way to turn the little fellow into a well-educated Dalmatian.
Say for yourself… what’s an hour of practice a week and 5 to 10 minutes a day, if you get an obedient dog back for it, you will hopefully enjoy for many years to come.
Most puppy classes start at ages of about 8 to 12 weeks old. This varies between cynology clubs.

Besides the first basics in obedience, your Dalmatian puppy will learn to behave in a social manner with the other dogs.
After the puppy class, you can continue with all kinds of other trainings.
If you like it, you can even participate in competitions at a high level. But that might be only for the true “cracks”.

Also for people who are getting a second or even third Dalmatian it’s a good thing to go to puppy classes with the new puppy.
You probably already know some things about raising your Dalmatian and you have already planned that you won’t make the same mistakes with this puppy as you made with the previous dog(s).
It’s always beneficial for the puppy to be completely on its own, outside the pack.
Otherwise, it’s possible that the puppy will behave badly without the presence of his big brother or sister. He can even be scared.
